Who We Are

Canadian AI Lab is the operating name of Buckley Canadian AI Lab, a Halifax-based AI company founded by Ben Buckley. We build AI voice agents, automated workflows, and systems integrations for small and mid-sized Canadian businesses — helping them do more with the teams they already have.

We work with businesses across Canada entirely remotely, from our base in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Why We Exist

Canada has a productivity problem. It has been raised repeatedly by federal officials, economists, and Bank of Canada governors: Canadian businesses are falling behind on output per worker, and the gap with our trading partners — particularly the United States — keeps widening. This isn't a new observation, but it's becoming an urgent one.

The causes are complex, but one piece of the solution is clear: Canadian businesses need better tools. Too many are still running on manual processes, missed calls, and hours of administrative work that could be handled automatically. While larger companies invest in technology, small and mid-sized businesses — the backbone of the Canadian economy — often don't have the resources or the roadmap to follow.

That's the gap we want to close.
